DERri project: Unique opportunity for laboratory access
The European project DERri is providing "free of charge" access to 13 major European facilities in the field of Distributed Energy Resources. Laboratory access as well as costs of travel and accomodation (according to the elegibility criteria)are funded by the European Union. The facilities and the services offered, the rules and procedures for the submission and selection of proposals are described in the DERri web site.

ADDRESS - Active Distribution network with full integration of Demand and distributed energy RESourceS
ADDRESS researches, develops and deploys technologies and processes to increase usage of distributed generation and renewable energy resources thereby engaging in a new relationship between customers, generators and network operators.

EcoGrid EU
The key objective of the EcoGrid EU project is to demonstrate the efficient operation of a distribution power system with high penetration of many and variable renewable energy

OPTIMATE - Open Platform to Test Integration in new MArkeT DEsigns
New market designs are needed which facilitate the introduction of variable renewable power sources. The main objective of OPTIMATE is to develop a new tool for testing these new market designs with large introduction of variable renewable energy sources.

ORECCA - Off-shore Renewable Energy Conversion platforms, Coordination Action
The goals of the ORECCA project are to create a framework for knowledge sharing and to develop a roadmap for research activities in the context of off-shore renewable energy that are a relatively new and challenging field of interest.

Safewind
Scope of the project is to ameliorate the existing technologies of the prediction models for the wind production, focusing on unusual cases of extreme atmospheric phenomena and the conditions that occur from prediction errors.

SEETSOC - South-East European TSO Challenges
SEETSOC addresses the needs of South-East European TSOs in their effort towards harmonization and integration of the region with the rest of the European power network.

Solion
Sol-ion is a PV energy conversion and storage project that aims at creating an integrated energy conversion and storage kit for decentralized on-grid and residential photovoltaic (PV) systems using Li-ion (lithium-ion) batteries.

SEESGEN-ICT - Supporting Energy Efficiency in Smart GENeration Grids through ICT
The main objectives of SEESGEN-ICT consist in producing a harmonized set of priorities to accelerate the introduction of ICT into the smart distributed power generation grids, investigating requirements, barriers and proposing solutions.

TWENTIES - Transmission system operation with large penetration of Wind and other renewable Electricity sources in Networks by means of innovative Tools and Integrated Energy Solutions
The TWENTIES project deals with different problems regarding the grid integration of wind power. The effectiveness and reliability of aggregated wind farms in performing active and reactive power control which will then allow frequency and voltage control will be shown.

SOPHIA
The SOPHIA project will bring together the main photovoltaic research centers in Europe in order to ensure a common and exhaustive effort towards one overall objective: Providing the industrial and scientific communities with a common reference point for efficient and coordinated research in the field of PV technologies.

PV LEGAL - Reduction of Bureaucratic Barriers for Successful PV Deployment in the EU
The overall goal of the PV LEGAL Project is to overcome legal-administrative barriers during planning and installation processes (including grid connection) of photovoltaic (PV) systems. The project consortium aims at improving the framework conditions for PV in Europe and to allow for faster and more efficient market development in the various countries.

Journals

International Journal of Distributed Energy Resources
The International Journal of Distributed Energy Resources is a scholarly peer-reviewed archival Journal. It publishes experimental, theoretical and applied results in both science and engineering for distributed energy resources in electrical grids. A thorough peer-review of each paper is performed by at least two independent experts for the special topics addressed.
