General Assembly in Kassel on 5th October
|
On 5th October the Association of European Distributed Energy Resources Laboratories (DERlab e.V.) accepted five new members at its general assembly in Kassel, Germany. DERlab e.V. welcomes the Greek Centre for Renewable Energy Sources and Saving (CRES), the Spanish Research Centre for Energy, Environment and Technology (Ciemat), the Catalonia Institute for Energy Research (IREC), Grenoble Electrical Engineering (G2Elab) and the Spanish Energy Technological Institute (ITE) as supporting members. CRES provides the link between basic research and industry and through its projects has assisted the market in accepting and adopting new energy technologies. CIEMAT's activities have traditionally included testing, pre-standardisation and research on different energy technologies. The institute also has long-term experience with autonomous hybrid systems and micro-grids. IREC's mission is to contribute to the sustainable development of society and enhance corporate competitiveness via innovation and development of new technological products, research and know-how in the field of energy. G2Elab covers the whole spectrum of electrical engineering science, from materials to systems, from processes to actuators, from micro systems to large power systems, from production to usage of electrical power. ITE is a private, non-profit association whose services, products and technological projects are addressed to national and international public bodies and companies in the power, electric, electronic and communications sectors. Currently, the DERlab Network of Excellence consists of 21 member organisations. |
